Anker grows Eufy home security line with focus on privacy

Techstination feature for Monday, July 8, 2019

Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear.   I’m Fred Fishkin.     The folks at Anker have branched out into home security with the EufyCam and now a video doorbell…designed to offer privacy along with security.     Anker’s Bryan Saxton…

“Basically, this is a wired security camera that acts as a doorbell that customers secure at the front of their homes.  And privacy is the thing we’re most excited about.   This guy features encrypted storage on a solid state AES drive and like the security camera it does have all the features you would expect out of a smart camera such as integration with smart assistants, cloud storage, a Web portal, facial recognition.  But again, it’s really privacy is the thing we’re really excited about.”

By storing files locally…even though Eufy…spelled e u f y… does offer a cloud option.   You can find it for about 160 dollars.   There’s more at www.EufyLife.com
