Thirty percent of U.S. households may be cord cutters by year end

Techstination feature for Thursday, August 29, 2019

Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear.   I’m Fred Fishkin.      By the end of this year…30 percent of U.S. households will have cut the cord on cable and satellite for their TV entertainment.   That’s according to Amazon…maker of Fire TV  devices which are used by many of those cord cutters.   The company’s Delaney Simmons says…

“We’re at this point now in streaming where you’re not going to miss much, if anything when you make the switch over.   And we hear that there’s a lot of fear of losing live sports, news and even Bravo is one that we hear quite a bit.  But there’s a streaming solution out there for everyone.   There are services like Sling TV, Playstation Vue, Hulu with live TV, we have Youtube TV coming to FireTV at the end of this year.”

It pays to shop around, compare costs and benefits.   And the choices for streaming and streaming devices keep growing.  Check www.amazon.com/freeyourtv for more.
