Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear.   I’m Fred Fishkin.   Capturing light is what photography is essentially all about and it is also what sets Eric Pare and Kim Henry apart.   They have carved out a niche using light tubes…which they use to create dazzling images..

“We’re using a four foot tube, it’s a plastic tube and I put a flashlight inside of it.  I go behind Kim and I simply make some movements with my light tube during a long exposure shot.”

We got to see it first hand at the recent Out of Oregon photography conference…and Kim says it is easy enough for anyone to try..

“It is pretty simple.  It’s a simple tool that we use and the principle is simple.  So it’s accessible for anyone to start and experiment with it.”
