Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear.   I’m Fred Fishkin.     GoKid is the name of an app that can be used for free to help parents, schools and sports teams organize car pools and ride sharing.  Founder and CEO Stefanie Lemcke started the company as a result of her own experience as a mom of two….trying to balance work with getting the kids back and forth to school and other activities.   And the GoKid app is winning lots of fans..

“You download the app from the app store and it helps us manage and schedule rides for children.  So it’s not an Uber for kids, it’s still the parents driving, but we set up a ride by simply inviting other parents.  We tell the app where our child is coming from and going to and what times we need the ride.”
