Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear.   I’m Fred Fishkin.      The folks at J M Smucker are having a bit of tongue in cheek fun….or maybe it is tongue on the roof of your mouth fun….with their Jif peanut butter brand.    With National Peanut Butter Lover’s Day at the start of this week…they attempted to put the lid on the debate over whether those animated images on the Web…spelled G I f s…are pronounced Gif or Jif.    The company’s Christine Hoffman..

“We created this limited run of collectible peanut butter jars.  It says Jif on one side and Gif on the other. There’s many, many people out there who are very passionate about Jif peanut butter and certainly passionate their stance about whether it’s hard G or soft. ”

They are selling for ten dollars on Amazon.    Clever way to spread the word.   The correct answer by the way is Gif.
