Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear.   I’m Fred Fishkin.       Whether you use one of the company’s waterproof phone, tablet or watch cases or not…the folks at Catalyst want to remind you that our phones can be popular places for germs, viruses and the like to reside.    With a waterproof case…you can use soap and water on your devices, but Catalyst’s Chris Herbert says there are alternatives…

“We recommend a 70 percent alcohol solution.   There’s also an ethanol solution that you can use.  Those are the main ways to clean your phone.   But just like you’re washing your hands and sanitizing your hands every turn, you should be doing the same with your phone during this time.”

There have been studies and stats showing…under normal circumstances…just how dirty and germ filled our phones can be.   So the advice from Catalyst is welcome.   Stay safe.
