Unibuddy virtually connects prospective students with universities

Techstination feature for Friday, April 17, 2020

Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear.   I’m Fred Fishkin.    For high school students preparing to hopefully enter college in the fall…making decisions about which school to attend has been complicated by Covid-19.    They would typically be visiting campuses and talking with student ambassadors during the process.    A company called Unibuddy has been working with schools around the world to enable virtual visits.    CEO Diego Fanara says that student to student contact is vital…

“So I can ask all my questions that potentially I wouldn’t be comfortable asking to an administrator.  And I can also read blogs, see pictures and then through my app I can have back and forth conversation.  Or the institution can set up group chats.”

You can find more about the schools offering the service at www.unibuddy.com.
