Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear.   I’m Fred Fishkin.       Some new skills for a new year.   Amazon has announced it will provide free training for tech jobs…to 29 million people around the world over the next four years.   Vice President of Workforce Development, Ardine Williams, says anyone is eligible for the free training…which in some cases…will provide certifications..

“Many people may already have some tech background so they may be looking to brush up on their machine learning skills, for example, through the AWS Power Hour series.  Others may not have any tech experience at all and may enroll in AWS Restart…which is an immersive 12 week program designed to give people not only technical skills, but soft skills so they can transition into a tech job.”
