NVIDIA powering autonomous vehicle progress

Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear.   I’m Fred Fishkin.        NVIDIA is a company best known by most of us for its leadership in graphics technology…making realistic gaming possible on millions of computers.  And they’ve been doing it for years.   But NVIDIA has used much of that same technology to take a leadership role in the development of autonomous vehicles.   NVIDIA is powering Amazon owned Zoox and its new robo taxi.   On a recent edition of the Smart Driving Cars podcast, NVIDIA Senior Director of Automotive Danny Shapiro said this year should bring even more progress..

“We’re not done with the compute that goes in the car.  The more software that’s developed, the more compute it needs.”
