Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear.   I’m Fred Fishkin.        The CDC Foundation and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation are out with a new tool called Places…that provides localized health data designed to promote healthier behavior.    Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Senior Program Officer, Dr. George Hobor says the tool is not designed to track Covid…that is already being done…but..

“We know there are things such as cardiovascular disease and obesity that really complicate Covid and Places could look at that measure, it could look at the local level and it could identify where there are really high prevalence of cardiovascular disease.”

You might want to check on the health issues of specific regions, before, say,  deciding on a move. Places is an expansion of the original 500 cities project.  Find more at www.cdc.gov/places.
