Better sound for video conferencing and more: PreSonus Revelator

Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear.   I’m Fred Fishkin.   With so many of us connecting for work…school and with family….via video conferencing platforms it can be wise to invest in better sound and lighting.   Looking at sound…there are many very good microphones and headsets to choose from that are big improvements over the mics built into notebook computers.    The Revelator from PreSonus has become one of our favorites.   It is a USB mic with some great pre-sets for adjusting the sound…and can automatically reduce background noises.   And, says Co-founder Jim Odom..

“It has special effects if you like.  Like we have an AM radio to make it sound like an old 1950s AM radio microphone.  Or we have an effect called the Voice of God that all of a sudden makes it sound like you’re bigger than anything else in the room.”
