Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear.   I’m Fred Fishkin.        Amazon….which currently has something like 35 thousand job openings in the U.S….is looking to hire many more veterans and their spouses.    The online retail giant says it will hire over 100 thousand U.S. veterans and military spouses by 2024.    In what kinds of positions?    John Quintas is Amazon’s global head of military affairs..

“You know this is an aggressive pledge.  And to meet this commitment, every job at Amazon needs to be available to our military veterans and their spouses.   So part of my job is to make sure that these military candidates have that access.”
