Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear.   I’m Fred Fishkin.     iRobot has come a long way since the first Roomba robotic vacuum arrived…about nineteen years ago.   And while the form factor is pretty similar…the new J7+ is in a word, remarkable.    While iRobot has touted its ability to avoid pet accidents…it has floored us with its ability to avoid tangles and obstacles that have flummoxed machines in this category for so long …even testing in a pretty cluttered room. It isn’t the quietest or the cheapest, especially when emptying into the base.  But the Roomba J7+ is clearly now, the one to beat.
