"In the first eight days of the contest we've had sixteen hundred entries. They talk about everything from very personal things about their own parents and their own lives to I think you're doing a great job, to I think your wife is really pretty to their religious views... it has been all over the board. And the winner gets to go to Washington and actually spend some time with the new president."
The contest runs through the end of this month. The competition is intense. For instance... a six year old writes...
"Will you do a favor for me? That favor will be please don't let anybody shoot anybody like a human being because I don't think it's nice and I think it's evil. Also don't let anybody steal."
And then there was this letter from the youngest to enter so far... .
"He says my name is Danny and I'm three years old and here are the things I care about... to help our world, help clean their rooms, stop carrying weapons, stop fighting, stop wrestling, stop being mean, help our family and help mommy and daddy and help make beds and clean up rooms and then it's all done."
