Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear.   I’m Fred Fishkin.        Way back when….handheld View Masters…and their photo discs would transport people to far way places or help to tell immersive stories with 3D images.    Holy cow…just saw an Amazon…you can still buy them…or something like them.     Meanwhile….there is a new book..titled Welcome to the Universe in 3D by Neil deGrasse Tyson, Michael Strauss, Richard Gott….and Princeton Professor Bob Vanderbei…who took some of the images you’ll find here.    And Bob points out, a built in 3d viewer in the book gives us a new perspective..

“So we thought it would be really fun to make a book that actually allows you to feel immersed in this 3D universe that we live in.”

There’s online content too…including narration from Neil deGrasse Tyson.  You can find the book…for all ages….on Amazon…for about 25 dollars.
