Try and balance the different factions of people against each other... the low class farmers against the doctors. They have different needs. The people that are sympathetic to the U.S. against the people that are sympathetic to Russia. This is set in the '50s, '50s Carribean."

Sounds like a vaguely familiar story line. PopTop Software's Brent Smith says you guessed right... .it's sort of like Sim Dictator. The name of the game is Tropico...

"Basically, there are two aspects to the game. Part of it is a builder, like a Sim City game where you're concerned with the economics, building up a base of money. Building buildings to make your island attractive enough for immigrants, tourism. The other part of the game is political, where you're trying to appease different factions or trying to take care of your people via political edicts that you can issue. You can invite the Pope to visit, which makes your religious factions more happy."
