Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear. I’m Fred Fishkin. The scammers are out there and seemingly getting better at what they do….luring consumers in with text messages and emails…that appear to be legit in many cases. This being CyberSecurity month….Google is out with some advice….number one being to enable two factor identification whenever you have that option. And Google’s Kimberly Samra says…
“If you’re getting a deal through email having somebody asking you to click on a link and the deal seems too good to be true…it most likely, probably is.”
The advice is not to click on links or open attachments unless you are certain of the source…and even if you recognize the sender….be cautious. And if you aren’t using a password manager…this might be a good time to start. You can find more info at safety.google.
