Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear.   I’m Fred Fishkin.     With the new year come new incentives for buying electric vehicles….even though the rules are probably a lot more confusing than they should be.   GM, meanwhile is expanding North America’s EV charging capaibilities…through a new Dealer Community Charging Program.   Program Manager Jared Jenson says the automaker’s vast dealer network is joining in …

“This Dealer Community Charging Program will help expand access to  underserved rural and urban areas.   So what we’re doing is partnering up with our dealers who then go out into their community and find locations and find some partners out in their community to place these chargers…to really get them closer to the  people.” 

That, he says, will help to overcome whatever anxiety some may have about buying EVs.   Many new models from  just about all automakers …will be arriving this year.
