Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear.   I’m Fred Fishkin.    Can a little device that plugs into the charging port of your smart phone…USB C or Lightning….take the itch out of a bug bite?    Yes it can.   At least when it came to the bite I unfortunately got to test it on.   It is called Heat It…built by a start-up in Germany…where co-founder Lukas Liedtke…tells us…the operation is simple…

“It attaches to your key ring and when you are bitten you simply take it off your key ring, you plug it into the charging port of any smartphone and then the Heat It app opens.  In the ap, as you can see, you have a few selections choose from.  For example you can select the child setting and then you simply press start, it pre heats for a couple of seconds and then you press it onto the bite.”
