Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear.   I’m Fred Fishkin.        Samsung has unveiled the fifth generation Galaxy Z Flip5 phone…continuing the comeback of the flip phone form.   It is a bit thinner…sells for about a thousand dollars…but look for carrier deals…and will arrive August 11th.   The sales pitch?  Executive Vice President and Marketing Head Stephanie Choi..

“Galaxy Z Flip5 is personal, it’s powerful and pocketable.  We’re literally flipping the script on the mobile experience and we can’t wait for you to try it out.”

Of course…there is competition in the flip format from Motorola and there are more and more foldable phones too…including a Galaxy Z Fold5 from Samsung.     The company also unveiled the Galaxy Watch6 and the Tab S9 tablet.
