Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear. I’m Fred Fishkin. The micro four thirds mirrorless camera format is alive and well. In fact, very well, judging by the performance of Panasonic’s new Lumix DC-G9 Mark Two. While it isn’t designed to be the smallest, lightest camera around, It simply feels great and well balanced when paired with the great Leica lenses in the Lumix family. And while the flagship G series cameras have become mainstays for videographers, Panasonic’s Sean Robinson points out the G9 Mark II has photography front of mind..
“So from the chassis design with balancing for longer wildlife telephoto lenses, to thermal management, even down into the sensor choice, , and just really kind of put it in a package that makes it a really fun, comfortable camera to shoot with.”
Mission accomplished. By the way…it is still great for demanding videographers.
