Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear.   I’m Fred Fishkin.        The Roomba Combo J9 + from iRobot is taking on the challengers to the pioneering robotic vacuum company.   It features an Auto-fill Dock designed to hold about a month of water for mopping…but unlike some of the competition…does not feature mop washing or storage of dirty water.  Director of Floor Care Warren Fernandez..

The Combo J9+ smartly raises the mop out of the way while vacuuming carpets.   There’s also an iRobot OS 7  feature called Dirt Detective…enabling the vacuum to prioritize cleaning certain rooms.  And then there is the SmartScrub function…to tackle the tough jobs.   Impressive.   Find more at www.irobot.com.
