Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear.   I’m Fred Fishkin.       Wrapping up another year….Google is out with the top search trends of 2023.   In the news category….hurricanes took three of the top five positions….but number one was the war in Israel and Gaza.   For movies…no surprise Barbie and Oppenheimer were on top.  In the people category… Damar Hamlin, Jeremy Renner and Travis Kelce were one, two and three….but Google’s Sarah Armstrong points out that Taylor Swift wasn’t exactly missing…it has more to do with the methodology…

“So we’re looking at those trends that had the biggest increase from 2022 to 2023 and Taylor Swift is always trending.  She actually hit an all time high last year and then beat her own record this year.  So folks are definitely searching for her.”

Most searched for recipes included Grimace Shake, lasagna soup and chicken cobbler.
