"The biggest reason why Myst III Exile is different than the original Myst and Riven is that those more or less felt like they were slide shows, but they didn't get that sense of real movement and 3D action. So we thought what's the way that we could do this and really get it out there in a big way. Well, we created a ninety second trailer and we think that when people sit down in their theatre seats and look back and suddenly have this Myst coming at them, they'll really feel the difference between the first two products and this product."
The music and visual effects are great... and the puzzles that have made the series so popular are back to keep game players scratching their heads for hours...
"I think Myst III Exile may be the closest convergence of what I would call literature, cinema and incredible music almost on a classical level."
The series has been as popular with women... as it has been with men... pretty unusual for a computer game. Bootcamp, I'm Fred Fishkin, Bloomberg Radio.
