"What's different with GPRS is number one... you get to go on the GSM networks all throughout the world, so it opens up the geography to a hundred new networks around the world. Second, it also combines voice and date in one appliance." When can your customers in the United States expect to see this? "Well really when will you see GPRS in North America is a good question. I think you'll see it commercially ready next year for sure."
And beyond the corporate market... the company is pushing Blackberry devices into the hands of consumers... through America Online and Earthlink. Balsillie tells us reports that AOL may drop its offering aren't true...
