Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear.  I’m Fred Fishkin.  This is part three of our series with Dr. Adrian Woolfson….author of On the Future of Species: Authoring Life by Means of Artificial Biological Intelligence.   He is co-founder and CEO of Genyro, with the exclusive license to Sidewinder, developed at CalTech…which has already been used to create a new life form.  So we wondered about the ethical issues..

“Well the ethical questions are obviously huge, right?  And one of the reasons I wrote my book on The Future of Species is first of all, just as a kind of wake up call to humanity.  And the only way you can have an opinion is if you understand it, right? So I see my book as a kind of guidebook if you like, the future of life and the future of humankind.”

Clearly there’s a need for regulation , but how?   More in my next report.
