"We're seeing a lot of migration now at the OEM design level with the handheld PCs, of course the Palm PDA they just released with the Secure Digital card expansion slot, we're very excited about that. But products from Sharp and Panasonic and Casio, LG, Nintendo... have all designed in an SD security card slot."
The battle over a memory card standard is far from over. Climer believes consumers will be faced with confusion for some time to come...
"Well Sony, of course, will do what they want. The 800 pound gorilla. I think probably two or three years down the road, we'll probably see two or three form factors emerge."
