YouTube and AI create World's Largest Classroom

Techstination feature for Tuesday, May 5, 2026

Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear.   I’m Fred Fishkin.        YouTube in the new age of AI says it is creating the World’s Largest Classroom.   The platform offers free courses for credit from Arizona State University.  There are popular sites for young people, like The Amoeba Sisters, teach biology.   And we could go on.     Katie Kurtz is Managing Director of Youth and Learning Partnerships..

“Now a screen, with AI, can become a personal tutor for anyone.   We have billions of people coming to YouTube to learn.   We see people coming to get help with an assignment or to study a foreign language.  Just last June there were over five and a half billion views on learning and how to videos in the United States alone.”

And there are parental controls and a YouTube Player for Education…ad and distraction free.

You can find us at Techstination.com.   I’m Fred Fishkin.
