Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear.  I’m Fred Fishkin.    Apple picking or pumpkin picking?   Pumpkin spice latte…or Chai or maybe Matcha?    There are some surprises when it comes to Fall search trends.   Google’s Sarah Armstrong says the once powerful pumpkin spice trend seems to be slipping a bit..

“Across the country we are seeing a little less interest in pumpkin spice.  I think we see people still drinking it, but matcha’s really getting competitive here.”

And about the picks for picking?

“So most of the country, pumpkin patches are the more popular search here.   But along the east coast, it’s apple picking.  So it’s  like a very clear divide when you get to the east coast.  Suddenly everyone’s searching for apple picking, but everywhere else in the country, they’re going to the pumpkin patch.”
