Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear. I’m Fred Fishkin. When it comes to tech to help you track your health and fitness, we’re fans of the watches from the likes of Google and Apple and Withings. But it seems there is nothing quite like the Oura Ring 5 for insights and most of all unobtrusive convenience. This latest model is slimmer but somehow has greatly improved battery life and speed when connecting to the Oura app. The sensors and alerts I find pretty amazing. They can now detect blood pressure trends along with stress, sleep, heartrate, breathing patterns, temperature and more….and can alert you when something is off. The Oura app now lets you log meals as well. Pricing starts at about 400 dollars with the company’s membership subscriptions costing another 70 dollars a year for the full suite of insights and tracking.
