Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear.  I’m Fred Fishkin.   It wasn’t long ago that Ancestry helped to reconnect me with a relative I hadn’t seen in decades.   That is just one of the benefits.   And the latest DNA update gives users an even better window into the past…refining ancestral regions.   Ancestry scientist Aaron Wolf..

“This year we had a really exciting update. Our largest update yet.   We’ve gone from 146 ancestral regions, doubling that to 302.   Which brings the total number of places we can connect your DNA to from around the world to over 48 hundred places.”

You may find some surprises.  There is also a great Regions by Grandparent feature…providing region info you’ve inherited from all four grandparents.   Getting started is easy and it is amazing how far back it can take you.   More info?    Head to Ancestry.com.
