You may not have one in time for the Super Bowl... but big screen high definition TVs will get more affordable. Bloomberg Boot Camp, a report on today's technology. You've seen them on commercials... and maybe in stores. Those flat plasma high definition TVs that typically run ten thousand dollars and up. They were on display everywhere at the big Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas this month, and the CEO of Panasonic in the Americas, Don Iwatani tells us affordability is just a matter of time...

"Digital technology is very strange. At the beginning of the introduction, it is always very high, but as we start to produce more product... it is very drastically down pricing. So at the point of your question, our flat and thin panel will be greatly reduced in price in the next three years." Give me an idea, what do you think people will be able to buy this kind of technology for in two or three years. " I'm really expecting 2004 will be a very, very big take off for those products. And really great, if everybody starts to buy, about one thousand dollars for a forty inch plasma. That will take a little more, at least, maybe, five years."
