"Well software has always been our greatest strength. Our franchise characters, Mario and Donkey Kong and Zelda and others... and that's where we're going to tend to focus. We view ourselves really as solely an entertainment company that makes great video games. We know that both of our competitors have different corporate motivations for wanting to expand beyond that. I think our competitors' intention is to dominate the delivery of digital information into your home. We have a more modest goal, which is just to make the world's greatest entertainment and video games and we think consumers will respond to that."
Nintendo is still counting on the popularity of the Gameboy Advance handheld devices to drive GameCube sales...
